The new home of the Minnesota Vikings has reached a milestone as construction is over half way done.

US Bank Stadium is set to open up in just over one year. The Vikings will play one more season at TCF Bank Stadium before moving into the new facility. The Associated Press reports that the stadium is 65 percent complete.

I had the chance last weekend to go up to Minneapolis and grabbed a few pictures of the facility from the MetroTransit (yes, the train window was rather dirty). The place is huge! I remember the Metrodome looking big when I was younger, and this new stadium is easily double the size.

US Bank Stadium will also host the Super Bowl in 2018, and the NCAA Final Four in 2019.
