Tyler Farr Silenced After Vocal Chord Surgery

(AP) - Tyler Farr has been silenced.

Farr is canceling his shows for the next few months while he recovers from surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal chords. That will include dropping out of the Lee Brice tour that starts next month.

Farr first became aware of the problem when he came down with bronchitis while on tour with Jason Aldean last summer. Farr has had classical voice training, and he says he believed he was putting his training to work every night.

He is on vocal rest and plans to do aggressive therapy to heal his voice.
