The more things change, the more things stay the same.

In this classic interview video from the late 1990's Waylon Jennings sits down to answer questions from the TNN Network audience. I was struck by a couple things.

Waylon's asked about what he thinks of the 'new country' music. His answer is basically the same I hear today, almost 20 years later (and basically how I would answer myself!).

And then he's asked about something that resonates so strongly yet today, all these years later...school shootings.

The country music outlaw is sometimes serious and sometimes funny (love his comments about 'image consultants') and very insightful.

It's not long after this that we lost 'ol Waylon, who passed away in February of 2002 at the much too young age of 64. Thank goodness we have his music forever.
