Two Stabbed in Van Eps Park in Sioux Falls Sunday

Sioux Falls Police say two people were stabbed in Van Eps Park in Sioux Falls around noon Sunday.

One victim has a serious but not life threatening wound to his neck and went in to surgery at an area hospital while the other received numerous stitches to leg wounds.

Delfeido Seledonio Gonzales was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault.

Cora Lynn McBride was also arrested for simple assault on a different victim.

This summer has seen an increase in police calls to the park near 7th & Minnesota. Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether will be holding a press conference Monday. He's expected to lay out his reasons for wanting to ban alcohol in both Van Eps and Tower Parks.
