Two People Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Accident West of Harrisburg

An accident Tuesday afternoon west of Harrisburg sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the collision happened just east of the Harrisburg exit on Interstate 29 on 273rd Street. A couple on the motorcycle was headed westbound on 273rd Street when a pickup turned in front of them.

The passenger was wearing a helmet, but the driver wasn't. The crash remains under investigation.

The Lincoln County Sheriffs Department, Tea Police Department, Tea Fire and Rescue, and Tea Ambulance assisted.
