Two Nebraska lakes have been honored as Top 100 for fishing and boating in the USA.

Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area and Harlan County Reservoir were the two lakes that made the list.

Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area came in at #59 and Harlan County Reservoir came in at #94 on the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation's list of Top 100 lakes for fishing and boating.

According to Omaha.com, Colby Johnson, superintendent of Lake McConaughy SRA said this “Lake McConaughy is located in western Nebraska at the edge of the beautiful Sandhills, which provide Lake Mac with more than 75 miles of white, sandy beaches, all of which are open to the public,”he went on to say, "Boating and fishing infrastructure is located conveniently at several areas around the lake and anglers can target dozens of fish species.”

Lake McConaughy is located near Ogallala and Harlan County Reservoir is located by Republican City.

Florida is celebrating with the #1 honor as Florida’s Everglades National Park was voted the No. 1 place to fish and boat in America.
