Two Months of Anticipated Disruption with This Construction

There is a distinct difference between street repair and reconstruction.  13th Street and 4th Avenue will get the latter. 

Work has begun on 13th Street from Third Avenue to Fourth Avenue.  The pavement has been removed with new sewer, water and lighting yet to come.  13th Street will be inaccessible for about a month.

One other note about this project is that 14th Street will be affected on Wednesday (May 14) as well.  Some sanitary sewer work will take place on 14th Street that will constrict traffic to one lane in each direction on that day only.

Phase 2 will affect 4th Avenue once the 13th Street segment is complete.  That portion of the project should begin some time in June.   The entire project is anticipated to be complete by the end of July.
