Spring Training is just around the corner, and a few big name Minnesota Twins prospects received invitations for the trip to Fort Meyers, Florida.

Buxton is also Major League Baseball's top prospect, and last year, he spent time in Class A Cedar Rapids and Fort Meyers. Buxton hit .334 with 12 home runs, 19 doubles, 18 triples and 55 stolen bases in Cedar Rapids and Fort Meyers.

Miguel Sano is MLB's third-rated prospect, and he spent time in Class A Fort Meyers and Class AA New Britain last summer. The third-baseman hit .280 with 35 home runs, 103 RBIs, and 30 doubles between Class A and Class AA.

Alex Meyer pitched for the Gulf Coast rookie team, and Class AA New Britain in 2013. Between the two classes, he was 4-3 with a 2.99 ERA while striking out 100 batters in 78.1 innings pitched.

Other players invited to Fort Meyers in February feature outfielders, and former Twins player Jason Kubel, Darin Mastroianni, Jermaine Mitchell, Chris Rahl, and Wilkin Ramirez. In the infield, former Twins shortstop Jason Bartlett, along with James Beresford, Doug Bernier, Delbinson Romero, and Brandon Waring will be heading to Florida. Joining Meyer, and competing for pitching spots, Sean Gilmartin, Matt Hoffman, Aaron Thompson, Deolis Guerra, Lester Oliveros, and Yohan Pino received invites for Spring Training.

Spring Training begins with pitchers and catchers reporting on February 16 and the rest of the team on February 21.
