In the seventh meeting between Sioux Falls and Tulsa this season it was the 66ers prevailing 109-96 Thursday night in front of 1,830 attendees at SpiritBank Event Center.

Tulsa now leads the season series 4 games to 3 with one more to be played in Sioux Falls to close the regular season in early April.  Interestingly, in every matchup between these two teams the better rebounding team wins.  Last night Tulsa topped the rebound heap 54-43 and 18 offensive rebounds which led to 25 second chance points.  In the last four games between these two teams, Tulsa claimed at least 16 offensive caroms to earn extra chances for points.  Almost all of the other categories were a wash statistically.  Tulsa gradually built a 22-point edge during the third and fourth quarters, but surrendered the last 7 points of the game for the final 13 point spread.

For the winning 66ers (19-23), Mario Little (29 points) and Rod Bartholomew (17 points, 12 rebounds) were the best of the bunch wearing blue and white.  The Skyforce (24-18) got their best from Henry Walker (25 points, 8 rebounds) and A.J. Davis (16 points).   Get a load of Larry Drew II carving through the Tulsa defense and the long-range marksmanship of Walker in the clip below.

The immediate future involves Saturday encounters for both squads.  Tulsa takes a trip to Texas to play the Legends while Sioux Falls returns home to face the Springfield Armor.
