You’ve probably seen Country star Trace Adkins on the hit network TV show ‘The Apprentice’. Well now, according to the Associated Press, Adkins is taking an apprentice on stage with him.

(AP) – Some big-name singers choose someone to perform with because of their track record or whether they think that person will help them sell a record. But Trace Adkins says he decided to pick a duet partner for a couple of high-profile New York City gigs because “it would really mean something if she were to do it.”

Adkins picked out unknown singer Maureen Maltez. He will have her in New York with him when he performs this week on “Today” and “Fox and Friends.”

Maltez is nervous, but Adkins thinks she’ll do just fine.
