Toby Keith’s Band Member Killed In Car Crash
Toby Keith says he is "deeply saddened" by the death of his bass player. Officials in Oklahoma say Carl "Chuck" Goff Junior died in a two-car crash in a rural area south of Oklahoma City.
The Associated Press reports that the wreck remains under investigation. The driver of the other vehicle wasn't seriously injured.
Toby Keith says in a statement that Goff has been a close friend for more than 25 years, serving as both band leader and bass player for the country music star.
Goff also had writing credits on two of Keith's songs: "Upstairs Downtown" and "You Ain't Much Fun," both of which appeared on Keith's 1994 album,
