To Gift or Not to Gift? That is the Question.
Weddings can be expensive. Not only for the bride and groom, but the guests, too. But some people are just down right cheapskates when it comes to wedding presents.
A new survey reveals 41% of people have given something from their OWN home as a wedding gift. Is it really a big deal if you never took the popcorn popper out of the box?
The survey also showed 20% of guests have signed their name on another guest's gift, without contributing to it and one in ten have lied and told a married couple that their wedding gift was on its way, when it wasn't, because they hadn't bought it yet.
I've never done any of these things, but I do have a question. If you were invited to a wedding and didn't go, should you still send a gift?
And, while we're at it - do you think the newlyweds should send "thank-you's"? In the last two years, I've given 4 wedding presents and received a thank-you card for ONE of them. Someone told me once, that you should've expect a "thank-you." I say, it's just common courtesy. Tell us what you think in the comments below or our Facebook page.
