Tim McGraw quit drinking for his kids. McGraw tells People magazine he felt he didn't have any moral high ground with his three daughters in the long run if he kept drinking.

McGraw, now 45, says: 'I drank a lot from my point of view and felt I needed to stop'. He used to throw back whiskey, but that's no longer the case.

McGraw quit five years ago and started working out instead. He says that's great for his concerts because he hits the stage with his adrenaline going.

Tim's new album hits stores on Tuesday. It's called 'Two Lanes of Freedom'. It will be followed by a 30-city tour this Spring.

Aside from looking good, McGraw got healthier first and foremost to be there for his three daughters Gracie Katherine, 15, Maggie Elizabeth, 14, and Audrey Caroline, 11. 'I'm in a good place right now,' says McGraw.

He's also enjoying a 16 year marriage to Faith Hill.
