Tim McGraw may have a permanent new show opener. The 'Sundown Heaven Town' singer says that while he always knew his daughter Audrey could sing, he was just as surprised as everyone else when she decided to take the stage at a pre-show event.

During an exclusive acoustic set that McGraw was performing before a concert in Rogers, Ark. in August, McGraw's youngest daughter took the stage to perform a powerful rendition of the Dixie Chicks hit 'Travelin’ Soldier,' and she just about stole the show!

But although he already knew that his 12-year-old had a strong voice, McGraw says was "awestruck" that she actually wanted to perform on stage.

"I thought she’d back out at the last minute and not do it," says the 2015 Taste of Country Music Festival headliner. "We were flyin’ in [to Rogers, Arkansas] that day -- her and I were in actually my airplane flyin’ over to Arkansas to do this show -- and she had asked if she could do it."

McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill, work to keep their private life private and their girls protected from the media spotlight, but the country crooner says it was Audrey who wanted to take the stage. And even though he reveals she only had time to run through the song once before the show, she knocked it out of the park -- and then walked off like a true rockstar.

"The funniest thing to me about it was, she got up there and she sang and she didn’t show a bit of nerves, she just sang the song and then she didn’t acknowledge the crowd or anything," the proud dad says with a laugh. "She just sang her song, got up and walked off. Like, that’s the way to do it. That’s the way to handle it."

It sounds like Audrey isn't the only McGraw daughter who has a strong set of pipes: the 'Shotgun Rider' singer -- who's currently criss-crossing the States on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour -- reveals that all three of his daughters are amazing singers.

Well with parents like McGraw and Hill, of course they are!
