It was announced last week that after 20 years there will be no more Sioux Falls Ribfest. The same thing could be said about Yankton's Rockin' Ribfest!

According to Yankton Press, "Organizer Kristy Wyland says that the organization committee hasn’t decided whether or not there will be a 13th celebration of Ribfest in 2018."

The committee is planning on getting together next month to determine the outcome of the event. In years past the event drew in close to 15,000 people but last years event saw thinner crowds. Last years festival was held at the National Field Archery Association’s Easton Yankton Archery Complex.

If they decided to no longer continue this event in Yankton, there is another rib festival you can partake in. Vermillion’s Ribs, Rods & Rock’n Roll will be celebrating its 14th year on September 7-8.
