Sioux Falls residents don't need much of a reason for a good party, but with St. Patrick's Day this Monday (and the celebrations planned for Saturday), it's time to paint the town green and we've got all the details of things going on in the area!

The 35th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is downtown Sioux Falls Saturday starting at 2pm. All the roads into and out of downtown from 5th to 13th, plus Main and Phillips, will be closed starting at 1:30 for the parade. The parade route starts at 5th and Main, goes down Main to 13th, 13th to Phillips, and Phillips back to 5th so there's plenty of room for everyone to see it and enjoy! The forecast for Saturday calls for partly sunny skies and a high of 40, so grand a jacket with that green beer!

You can get your blood pumping early with the annual St. Patty's Day mile and take away some of the guilt of the corned beef and beer you'll be enjoying the rest of the day!

Here's some of the party spots for Saturday:

--El Riad Shrine. Doors open at 11am with three bands scheduled during the day and night

--Wiley's Tavern. Doors open at 10am with green beer with a heated tent and full bar on the patio for the parade.

--Holiday Inn City Centre. Open 11-11 with food and drink specials all day

--Icon Lounge. Bleachers set up for the parade. Doors open at 11. Live music starts at 4pm

--Skelly's. Beer specials all day. Music from Guilty Pleasures Orchestra begins at 7pm

--The District. Everyone is Irish Party. No cover. Doors open at 8pm with live music and drink specials.

--Shenanigan's in the Empire Mall. Music and drink specials start at 7am!

--Humboldt, SD Municipal Bar has Driven playing their bash starting at 9pm

--Golf Addiction. Working Class Hero plays at 9pm

--Thirsty Duck. Solera Band plays at 9:30pm

Have a GREAT time this weekend, but please do it responsibly! If you're partying, take a cab or get a sober designated driver.
