If you're a parent and you've yet to make it out to the 2017 Sioux Empire Fair, don't miss this year's new kid zone attraction.

While you might be more interested in the midway, the fair food, and all the grandstand shows, your kiddos are sure to love the new Sioux Empire Fair kids zone.

This is the first year for the kids zone at the Sioux Empire Fair, and all the early reviews say it's a big hit!

The new kids zone is located by the main entrance just as you walk into the Sioux Empire Fair. KDLT News is reporting it features several sand boxes filled with corn and Tonka Trucks that kids can play with. Your friends in the red shirts at Campbell Supply donated the all the supplies, including the Tonka Trucks inside the kids corn boxes.

Make sure not to miss the kids zone ‘K-9’s In Flight’ show. Frisbee Diving Dogs do high flying tricks three times each day. That show is free with fair admission.

Also this year at the fair, kids can get an up close experience with farm animals at McDonald’s Farm and the Pipestone Discovery Barn. There's also an opportunity for little ones to pet and feed other animals at Noah’s Way Exotic Petting Zoo.

Talk about cool, according to KDLT News, while inside Noah's Way Exotic Petting Zoo kids can ride ponies, and even feed baby animals like a camel and a kangaroo.

Admission into the fair is $7 for adults 13 and up. Children 6-12 is two bucks, and kiddos 5 and under are free. Remember that all Grandstand Entertainment is FREE with paid fair admission.

The 2017 Sioux Empire Fair runs through Sunday, (August 13) at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls.
