The Scariest Ride in the World: A 1,300 ft high Grand Canyon Swing
This just might trump all other swings in the world. Apparently it’s so terrifying, the developer/owner has only been on it once.
The thrill ride is named the The Giant Grand Canyon swing, positioned high over the Colorado River, at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Colorado.
Strap in to swing 1,300 feet above the Colorado River…at 50 MPH. Roadtrip, anyone?
There was a traditional swing on the site for years but park owner Steve Beckley decided to “take it up a notch’ by installing an entirely new thrill ride that involved pneumatic power to make it faster.
If you like heights as much as I, this could easily be the scariest ride in the world. We also learned that a Release of Liability Waiver must be signed prior to enjoying.
Given the fact I “screamed like a bus-load of Girl Scouts going over a cliff”, according to my oldest son, after riding the Mamba at World’s of Fun last week, I’ll leave this terror-filled jump seat to other thrill seekers.
See the video below to see if this ride’s for you.
