For the third straight year, South Dakota State University running back Zach Zenner is an All-American, and the honor puts him in select company.

The senior from Eagan, Minnesota was honored Monday by the American Football Coaches Association with a spot on the 2014 AFCA FCS All-America Team.

Zenner just put the finishing touches on his third consecutive 2,000-yard season, becoming the first player in FCS history to accomplish the feat.

He finished 2014 with 2,019 yards and 22 touchdowns, while topping the 100-yard mark in 11 of 14 games, and the 200-yard mark twice.

Zenner and Tennessee-Chattanooga defensive end Davis Tull are just the third and fourth FCS players to be three-time selections to the AFCA FCS All-America Team, joining Northwestern State (La.) linebacker Gary Reasons (1981-83) and Appalachian State (N.C.) linebacker Dexter Coakley (1994-96).
