The stars of TV's "Duck Dynasty" announced Tuesday that they are going to be sponsoring college football's Independence Bowl for the next five years.

With sponsorships ruling the college football bowl game season, the Independence Bowl HAD been named the AdvoCare Bowl, but with the new sponsorship, the Independence Bowl can go back to that name (with Duck Dynasty's very successful business Duck Commander being the new sponsor)

Duck Commander CEO and series star Willie Robertson says with the game being based in Louisiana, and having an appreciation for the military made it a perfect fit for the Robertson's.

The game was played on New Year's Eve last year and telecast by ESPN. No word on when the game will be scheduled this year as new college football play-off rules are going into effect for the upcoming season.

Also no word on whether Uncle Si will do the ceremonial coin toss or the players will be wearing camo uniforms. Maybe they should look at replacing the referee whistles with duck calls too.
