Don't call it a comeback! Zima is back again this Summer for a limited edition release and I had to try it. Because I'm so young, I wasn't old enough in the 90s!

In case you didn't know, Zima debuted in the 90s and it was the first sort of malt beverage. After Zima there was Smirnoff Ice and Mike's Hard Lemonade. It was first introduced to the world in 1993 and hung around until about 2008. It was marketed as 'Zomething Different'.

Last Summer, I waited too long to try Zima and the limited release ended! This Summer I was not going to let that happen again so I've been on the prowl.

Last week, while grocery shopping, I spotted Zima in a walk-in cooler! It was the last six pack! It had to be mine! Then I swung by the candy aisle and got some Jolly Ranchers too!

Then, over the weekend, I finally got to try Zima! And guess what? It is yummy! It's sort of like 7 Up, but boozier and better. I will say adding the Jolly Ranchers does improve the drink. Plus, that way, you can make it any flavor you want!

I tried Zima first by itself and it was alright, but then I tried one with a watermelon Jolly Rancher that had been soaking for a few minutes. I didn't think that was long enough for the flavor to disperse, but it was!

I later tried blue raspberry and that color and flavor did really come through. Obviously, the longer it sits the more you can taste the flavor.

The 90s are back, people!

If you have a suggestion about something I should try, let me know!
