WOW is all I can say. Here's another reason I LOVE living in Sioux Falls. When South Dakota State Trooper Andrew Steen was critically injured earlier this month in the line of duty when the suspect ran him over with her car (click here for details on that story), the community pulled together with fundraisers for Steen's family.

This morning (October 29) Sioux Falls Taco John's pledged 50% of proceeds from breakfast from all their stores to benefit Steen. First Bank and Trust matched $1000 in funds and Thrivent Financial West Minnehaha Chapter for Lutherans matched $2000 in funds.

We all love a good breakfast burrito ESPECIALLY when it's for a good cause and 'one of our own', so people of our wonderful city and surrounding cities turned out to the tune of $9292.26, bringing the total donation this afternoon to $12,292.26!

Thank you to Ted Miller and and Taco John's crews and to all of YOU for opening up your wallets (and your stomachs!) for a great cause.

Get well soon Andrew! We're all thinking about you.
