KSOO-AM's Dave Roberts was on the scene of an apparent suicide attempt in Sioux Falls Tuesday afternoon.

According to Roberts, the woman was standing on the outside of the 49th Street bridge, hanging onto the guardrail. Police negotiators stood opposite the woman, separated by a sidewalk and the bridge barrier.

The woman eventually crawled back over the barrier and into the hands of the police, at which point she was taken into custody.

During the incident, the South Dakota Highway Patrol closed Interstate 29 northbound to traffic, and limited traffic on I-29 southbound. Traffic on 49th Street was diverted to alternate routes.

There is no information on the condition of the woman at this time, or what charges she may face.
