Students at Garfield Elementary School in Sioux Falls went to class on Wednesday wearing one pair of shoes and came home in another.

Every child at Garfield received a new pair of kicks on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, courtesy of The Bobs from Skechers program.

This year's program was done in coordination with Shoe Carnival, Fashion Direct and Lutheran Social Services.

Each kiddo in the school was properly sized for their own pair of new shoes. In addition to getting new shoes, every child got to show off their artistry talents by decorating them with their own special design.

Skechers has been donating shoes all over the world, via this free shoe program since 2010. This was the first shoe giveaway they've done in South Dakota.

More than 700 pairs of shoes were given out to Sioux Falls students on Wednesday.

According to Lara Diab, a public relations officer for Skechers, "The Bobs from Skechers program is scheduled to donate more than one million pairs of shoes to children this year."
