It will be a Summit League - Missouri Valley Conference showdown when  South Dakota State hosts Missouri State at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, December 2, 2017.

This will be the Jackrabbits sixth visit to the Pentagon. They've won two of their previous five games there, most recently a 81-58 victory over Wisconsin - Milwaukee during last season's Pentagon Showdown.

This will be Missouri State's first trip to the venue.

South Dakota State finished last season 18-17 with a Summit League Tournament championship and a first round loss to Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bears were 17-16 record in 2016-17, losing in the semi-finals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament to eventual champion, Wichita State. Missouri State returns All-MVC first-team forward Alize Johnson, who led the Missouri Valley Conference in rebounding and the Bears in scoring during the 2016-17 season.

SDSU leads the all-time series with MSU, 3-2. The two teams haven't squared off since the 1960s and 70s when the Bears were Southwest Missouri State.

Tickets for the game go on sale September 1, 2017.
