The 10th annual South Dakota Film Festival has officially started in Aberdeen. The event recognizes films either made by filmmakers from the Great Plains region or shot in the area.

More than 300 films were submitted to the event and 65 of those were chosen to be screened at the festival. It includes films of all genres and lengths, including both short and feature-length films.
