Obviously the Golden State Warriors unbeaten string to start the season captivated basketball fans worldwide. In Sioux Falls a pretty good streak has also been built early in the NBADL season.

In fact not even Steph and the Splashes can lay claim to this accomplishment into HOW those games were won. The Skyforce during their current seven-game streak have won each of their games by 10 or more points.

Sure it’s splitting hairs as Golden State crushed a considerable amount of their first 24 foes. Fifteen of them were by double digits including 8 of the first 10 out of the gate. Later in the streak the Warriors vanquished five straight opponents by four possessions.

In just the blowout wins the average margin of victory for GSW was 19 points. Two of those triumphs included the absolute pasting of the Grizzlies by 50 points and a 34 point spread against the Lakers.

Sioux Falls has hardly been prolific, just consistently excellent during the streak. The Skyforce have been taking teams by an average of 15.7 per game with a high of 23 against Delaware. Previous teams have only been able to put together strings of 4 straight double digit wins (twice) throughout the 27 seasons in Sioux Falls. The last time was 2006-07.

Of course the finest regular season in team history for Sioux Falls (1996-97) started with 13 straight wins on the way to a 47-9 mark. Of those 13 victories, 7 were by 10 plus and only three in consecutive fashion.

One interesting quirk involving double digit wins happened during the inaugural season of 1989-90. Sioux Falls had a 12 game stretch where the team went 6-6 but all 6 wins were by double digits. That was the longest such streak in team history until now.
