Sioux Falls Welcomes Bikers

Teri Schmidt of the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau says thousands of bikers will get a warm welcome by  the CBV and several businesses as they travel through the city on their way to the Sturgis motorcycle rally.

“It’s such a fun opportunity for us,” says Schmidt. “We encourage them to  drop off in Sioux Falls either now or on their way back home. The bikers love our welcome. Some of them have seen us out there for years. For those who have never seen us, they are very pleasantly surprised and tell us they have never seen anything like this in the country.”

The welcome celebration will be held on Friday at the Valley Springs rest stop/information center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Aside from refreshments, Teri Schmidt says each biker will receive a Sioux Falls t-shirt.
