SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Sioux Falls water tower that stores 1.5 million gallons of water for the southeastern South Dakota city is back online.

The Menlo Water Tower has been offline while a contractor sandblasted and painted the interior and exterior and cleaned and disinfected the interior. The tower built in 1999 has again been filled with water and is back online.

Water Superintendent Greg Anderson that the city's public works water division staff for successfully operating the water system with a tower out of commission.
