Police are investigating a rash of thefts from laundry machines in apartment buildings in Sioux Falls.

Officer Sam Clemens says two more such break-ins were reported on Tuesday: in the 2000 block of West 6th Street and the 4600 block of West 39th Street:

Clemens says the suspect in the West 39th Street burglary was described as a white male, five-feet-two to five-feet-four and 150 pounds with short, dark hair, and wearing jeans and a multi-colored spring jacket. He says the replacement value of the locks in the machines that were pried open is $500 to $600 total.

Other laundry machines broken into were in the 5000 and 5100 blocks of West 45th Street.
