Sioux Falls Teen Injured in Assault by 5 Men at Terrace Park
A Sioux Falls teen was injured around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday evening when he was jumped by five men he didn’t know.
Officer Sam Clemens of the Sioux Falls Police Department says the 17-year-old received a phone call from a man who wanted to retrieve property that belonged to a mutual friend.
Clemens says the two made arrangements to meet in the parking lot of the Terrace Park swimming pool so the teen could return the property. But he told police that as he was talking to the man, four others “came out of nowhere” and began assaulting him.
One of the assailants may have had brass knuckles, while the others punched and kicked him.
The suspects took off running when someone saw them and yelled, and the victim was treated at a hospital for cuts to his head.
The only descriptions he was able to give of his assailants were that one, possibly the caller, was a white male around 6’1″, while another was a Hispanic male, 5’7″.
