Word spread quickly last week when three Sioux Falls sushi restaurants closed suddenly and police were called several times to settle a dispute between three owners.

The restaurants re-opened just a couple of days later, but the owners have split the properties.

The Tokyo restaurants on 10th Street downtown and on South Louise Avenue are owned by Tian Can Chen and his wife Alice.

Tang Ming Sze had owned those properties with the couple along with Fuji on 41st Street. Sze now has Fuji, plus Fuji in Yankton and Fuji Sushi Express in the Empire Mall.

The short shutdown and the dispute hurt business as patrons have been unsure whether or not they were open. The owners say they are open and ready for sushi lovers.
