Sioux Falls Stabbing Sends Victim to Hospital
UPDATE: A Sioux Falls man is hospitalized and a woman is in custody after a stabbing near police headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
Lieutenant Matt Burns says officers were called around 5:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon to the area of a convenience store in the 500 block of North Minnesota Avenue, where they found a 39-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Burns says the man had been stabbed behind an apartment building at 418 West 5th Street:
Burns says a woman at the scene, 39-year-old Julie Decory-Bettelyoun, was jailed on a domestic aggravated assault charge.
The stabbing victim was still in stable condition at a Sioux Falls hospital this/Monday morning.
Burns says victim and suspect are boyfriend and girlfriend, and they live at the West 5th Street address.
