Endearing himself to Skyforce fans for two previous seasons, Henry Walker returns to Sioux Falls after signing an agreement to rejoin the NBADL.

The stark contrast from how he first came to the Skyforce compared to his electrifying competitive nature once he started playing is unmistakable. Signed as a player pool pickup at the completion of the 2012-13 season in April, at that time he was still known as Bill. Hoop geeks would recognize the hard-edged, high-flying days with Kansas State, Boston and New York.

Even a scouting report from high school laid the foundation for Walker’s potential according to Rodger Bohn who chronicled his thoughts for Draft Express.

“In all of my years of watching high school basketball, I have never seen a player as electrifying as Bill Walker. He has the ability to just totally change a game with his amazing leaping ability. Anything that is within 10 feet of the rim at the level he plays at will automatically be dunked.”

Four knee injuries and multiple continents of professional basketball have passed since he became known. The last time he donned a Skyforce jersey it ended with a call-up to finish the season with Miami in 2015 wheare he appeared in 24 games (13 starts) for the HEAT that season averaging 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26.1 minutes per game.

This reappearance will be with a team just seven months removed from claiming the D-League title. Over his Skyforce career Walker has appeared in 65 career games for the Skyforce (41 starts) and has averaged 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
