Sioux Falls Promoting Neighborhood Groups
SIOUX FALLS – Officials in South Dakota’s largest city are asking neighborhoods to form associations.
Sioux Falls officials say the idea would foster community development and help people connect to city services. It would also help the city address neighborhood problems.
The Argus Leader reports that about 40,000 residents in four core neighborhoods have begun receiving robocalls promoting the benefits of neighborhood associations.
The city has set aside $10,000 for a new neighborhood improvement grant program. Applicants must be a member of are registered neighborhood association to qualify for the grant.
