Sioux Falls Police Captain Greg VandeKamp says a man was stabbed overnight following an altercation at a local downtown tavern.

"The individual did produce a knife at that time. The establishment did remove the person from the bar and kicked him out. "

Later on in the evening, VandeKamp says the victim made contact with the suspect a second time elsewhere in Sioux Falls.

"There was another confrontation at that time. The suspect pulled the knife back out and stabbed the victim in the bicep. The victim went to the hospital."

The victim has non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as being a white male, brown hair, 165 pounds and 5'10" tall.
