Two teens who misspent the overnight inside Lincoln High School were arrested almost twelve hours after the incident. Security footage was crucial in solving the mystery.

Sioux Falls Police captured the young men who were wanted in connection with the vandalism spree Wednesday morning at Lincoln High School on South Cliff Avenue.  It is estimated that it took three hours to do their damage when they entered the school around midnight and left around 3:00 AM.

Initial reports indicated common areas such as hallways and the cafeteria were affected. Police also shared that 18 year-old Addison John Park and 18 year-old Alex Everett Engel damaged a lunch room table, a copy machine, and a cash register.

Footage also revealed that Park also allegedly stole some backpacks from inside the school.  Authorities say Lincoln High School staff were able to recognize the two suspects.

Both were charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Intentional Damage to Property 1st degree.  Park was also charged with Petty Theft for stealing the backpacks. Classes were delayed for two hours in order to prepare the school for students.
