Sioux Falls Man Jailed in Domestic Case

A domestic assault case Monday evening resulted in the arrest of a Sioux Falls man.

Police Lieutenant Loren McManus says officers were called shortly after 7pm Monday to the 6000 block of West Golden Place, where an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend had escalated.

McManus says the male pinned the female to the bed with his arm around her neck in a choking or strangling position.

The woman was not injured, but Elvin Diaz-Rivera, 30, was jailed on one count of aggravated assault-domestic.
