A Sioux Falls man has been arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation.

"There was a search warrant that was executed in the 3200 Block of South Westbrooke Lane," according to Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Sean Kooistra. "This search warrant was executed as the result of our department assisting the Homeland Security in a case that they were investigating. I can't go into the specifics. But, we were an assisting agency. As a result, we did assist in the search warrant execution."

Kooistra says that's when authorities found child pornography images in the home.

"Officers did discover digital media storage devices---whether that was on a computer, an external drive or CD. I'm not certain. They were able to locate child pornography videos and images which resulted in an arrest."

Kooistra says 36-year-old Scott James Dyson faces 11 counts of possession of child pornography.
