A Sioux Falls man was beaten by two bat wielding suspects in downtown Sioux Falls on Thursday morning.

"He told police he was walking downtown," Sioux Falls Police Department Information Officer Sam Clemens explained.

"The suspect said two black men came up to him. Both of them had baseball bats. They demanded cash. He said both of the suspects hit him. They left without taking anything. That's pretty much all we have. He wasn't sure where he was at the time and didn't have any other description of the men. We are still trying to find out what took place."

Clemens says the victim, who suffered a broken arm, had been drinking.
