Sioux Falls Man Arrested for Drugs After Driving Wrong Way on West Russell Street
Police spokesman Sam Clemens says an officer saw vehicles in the ditch, apparently to get out of the way of an eastbound vehicle in the westbound lane.
He says the officer got the motorist turned around and stopped outside the construction zone at Russell and Minnesota:
“The ended up finding quite a bit of marijuana inside the car. There was some blotter paper, with acid on them, a lot of pills that were found as well,” said Clemens.
clemens says the driver, identified as 20-year-old Jared Matthew Allen Rote, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute, possession of one-half-pound to one pound of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He says the pills were tramadol, a prescription painkiller and anti-inflammatory drug.
