Sioux Falls Lightning Strike

A late night lightning strike damaged a home in the 1400 block of South Hillview Road in Sioux Falls.

Captain Nick Luther says Sioux Falls Fire Rescue crews were called about 11:10 Monday night to a report of a lightning strike.  Upon their arrival, they found a large hole in the side of the house that had been caused by lightning.

Firefighters checked the interior and attic of the home but found no fire extension.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
