JCPenny is big on style, just not their employees wearing some of that style while on duty.

Just ask Sylva Stoel of Sioux Falls. Stoel was sent home from work recently for wearing inappropriate shorts she bought in the retailer's career style section.

Stoel recently told TODAY, "I was at work for about 10 minutes before my supervisor approached me."

She was informed that she was in violation of the company's dress code. He then asked her how long it would take to go home and put something more professional on? Stoel responded "probably the whole day" and announced she wasn't coming back.

Shortly after resigning the 17-year-old posted a photo on Twitter of the "too revealing" pleated red shorts that created all the ruckus.

Stoel had only been employed at the store two weeks before the incident happened.

According to Stoel, "I bought (the shorts) thinking they were pretty professional, They didn't show anything other than my legs, which I don't think is too provocative."

JCPenny insists its dress code does not allow for shorts of any kind to be worn on duty.

So, do you agree with Stoel or the store? How would you react if something like this happened to you, or one of your children?
