Soon you will be able to do all of your shopping and get a delicious sandwich at the Lake Lorraine development. The Las Vegas-based Capriotti's, which specializes in hand crafted sandwiches, is setting up a location this summer.

Some of the restaurants most popular sandwiches include the Cran Slam Club, or what Iike to call the Thanksgiving leftover sandwich made with turkey, cranberry sauce, ham, lettuce, mayo, on choice of sliced white or wheat bread; the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami; the Cole Turkey and the Cheese Steak. There is even a line of vegetarian subs, though I'm not sure what "vegetarian chicken" is and salads.

According to the Capriotti's website, the business started in 1976 in Little Italy in Wilmington, Delaware.

Lois Margolet and her brother, Alan, started Capriotti’s in 1976. They lived in Little Italy in Wilmington, Delaware, where sandwich shops were abundant, but Lois had a dream of creating something unique. The shop began as a boarded up building beneath their apartment. They decided to name it after their grandfather, Philip Capriotti, who loved to cook.

According the the Argus Leader, Chief Development Officer David Bloom said in an emailed statement:

“We have made significant strides over the past year in improving operations, efficiency and technology, all while still providing our fresh, house-made menu items,”

The owners are planning on opening three more locations within the next three years. The company plans to expand to 500 locations nationwide by 2025.

What other restaurants would you like to see come to town?
