Real estate agents in South Dakota's largest city say the housing market is improving, with homes selling faster and for better prices.

Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire president Matt Larson says indicators are pointing more sharply to recovery.  In fact, Larson says the real estate business is awesome  in Sioux Falls.

Larson says closed sales rose 25 percent in July, and the median home sale price is up 5.8 percent from a year ago.

From his vantage point, Larson says the positive real estate trend is a reflection of the confidence people have in the Sioux Falls economy along with the city's low unemployment rate.
