With the backdrop of broken buildings in downtown Sioux Falls, the times call for a renewed spirit of togetherness in the face of hardship.

Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. (DTSF) issued a press release on Tuesday to put together a special First Friday event on December 9. It’s not designed to replace what happened last week, but it shows the resiliency of the businesses in that part of the city.

"DTSF has always been a tight-knit community, but the outpouring of support and compassion from fellow business owners and community members during this difficult time is unprecedented," said Brienne Maner, DTSF Communications & Membership Director. "As the days pass, we continue to keep Ethan McMahon and the families affected in our hearts, and while downtown will probably never be quite the same - we hope for peace, safety, and prosperity moving forward.”

The event will feature great sales, events, expanded hours, and is also a chance for the community to give back to the families and businesses affected. Read on for a list provided by DTSF for the December 9 First Friday event which has some awesome possibilities.
