A man from Sioux City, Iowa has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in the death of a man whose partially burned body was found near Worthing, in Lincoln County.

Twenty-year-old Martin Castellanos pleaded guilty Thursday to attempted murder and willful injury causing serious injury. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison (in Woodbury County District Court).

Castellanos had been charged with first-degree murder in the October 2013 shooting death of 20-year-old Adrian Rojas-Hernandez.

Court documents say Castellanos shot Rojas-Hernandez in the head after they and another man, Ricardo Vital, argued at a house in Sioux City.

Vital has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of accessory. Investigators say he drove a car used to move the victim's body and helped clean up evidence.
