RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A Rapid City Regional Hospital nurse and her brother have been honored for saving a boy's life.

Sammi Wetch and brother Chris VanNorton were by the pool at the Grand Gateway Hotel last Saturday when they noticed 8-year-old Jeremy Cheyenne floating unconscious in the water.

VanNorton pulled the boy out, and Wetch started CPR.

Cheyenne's family honored the siblings Thursday with a traditional Native American quilt ceremony at the hotel.
