UPDATE: Sioux Falls Police confirms the arrest of the shooter along with additional details in a press release late Tuesday afternoon.

Investigation at the scene showed that the actual address was 718 S. 2nd Avenue, and 3-5 rounds were fired from a handgun.  Officers and Detectives determined that Leslie Dwayne Roubideaux Jr., an 18 year old Sioux Falls man, fired shots in the close vicinity of both a male and female victim.  The male victim then struggled with Roubideaux for the handgun and was struck repeatedly with the weapon. His injuries were not life threatening.  Roubideaux fled the scene on foot. At 4:45 PM, Roubideaux was located near 9th Street and Lake Avenue and arrested for four counts of Aggravated Assault and lodged in the Minnehaha County Jail.

Sioux Falls Police reported that several shots were fired around 4:15 AM Tuesday morning at an apartment near downtown.

According to KDLT News:

... around 4:10 a.m., there were several calls of gunshots in the 700 block of South 2nd Ave. He says there had been a party inside an apartment that spilled outside. After an argument broke out, someone shot a gun several times, one shot possibly at a person and the others into the air. There were no injuries. When officers arrived, they saw several people and two ran away. One of the two was caught. Ryan Williams Ashes, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, fleeing police, and underage consumption. A 15 year-old-girl was also arrested for underage consumption.
