Ron Gardenhire was fired by the Minnesota Twins after 13 seasons as the manager of the team.

This was the first time since 1986 that the Twins Organization had fired a manager.

They now embark on a journey to find a new manager and hopefully change the course once again of the Twins franchise.

In Gardy's first 9 season, he had a win percentage of .550 and made 6 playoff appearances.  The next four season were all 90+ loss campaigns with NO playoff berths.

A new culture is needed, a new regime will handed the reigns and will need to take the Twins back to the playoffs or they will be in the same seat as Gardy is now a few years down the road.

According to multiple media reports, here is a short list of names to replace Ron Gardenhire.

1.  Paul Molitor Twins Hitting Coach

2. Joe McEwing White Sox 3B Coach

3.  Doug Mientkiewicz Twins Minor League Manager

4.  Tory Lovullo Red Sox Bench Coach

5.  Dino Ebel LA Angels Bench Coach

Time will tell and many believe the Twins will take their time.
